Welcome to the Forsyth County FORGE Composite Mountain Bike Team

FORGE mountain bike team is comprised of students 5th through 12th grades in public, private, homeschools and charter schools across Forsyth County, North Carolina. We are part of a larger organization called NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association). NICA is the governing body of the NC Interscholastic Cycling League.

  • Pre-season starts mid October and the regular season starts December 1st. Races start in late February to early March and our season ends May 30th.

  • Practices are held at Tanglewood Park, Hobby Park and Salem Lake in Forsyth County. Event weekends are across the state of North Carolina and just over the border in Virginia and South Carolina. It is not mandatory to attend all events but it is very fun and encouraged. Many families camp and some stay in hotels nearby for the weekend. It is important to be there on Saturday to pre-ride with the team and the racing happens all day on Sunday.

  • We believe bikes have the power to change lives and that mountain biking is the ideal activity to promote lifelong health and wellness in our community.  Mountain biking offers freedom, opportunity, and adventure unlike any other sport.  Our club’s vision is to give every child in Forsyth County the opportunity to fall in love with mountain biking.  Everything we do strives to embody the core values of our league: fun, inclusivity, equity, respect, and community.
